New ways to manage Time and Absence in Oracle HR

By now, most organisations have some form of online absence management, be it simple sickness recording by managers to holiday plans with fully automated holiday balances and carry over. Closely linked to Absence is time entry, most commonly used for casual, hourly paid workers. Oracle’s Time and Labor solution is widely used but paper based processes are still common.

Organisations now want to do more with a particular focus on reducing sickness, reducing manual paperwork and realising process efficiencies.

Redefining the Manager Self Service experience on mobile and desktop devices

Advantage Solutions provides sales and marketing services to the consumer packaged goods industry in North America. Employing over 45,000 associates worldwide, Advantage were looking to improve the usability of their Oracle E-Business Suite Manager Self Service offering as well as deploying mobile access to all managers in the business.

In early 2018, Advantage will go live with a new experience for desktop users as well as branded mobile apps to allow their managers complete common requests such as update assignment details, process a termination, change pay, timecard review and approval and more. New dashboards are being introduced to allow managers to track in-flight transactions, reducing confusion, frustration and calls into the HR helpdesk when transactions are not getting approved on time.
